1. Take Advantage of Alaska’s Unique Seasons

The Summer in Alaska is my favorite! In the summer, landscapes are lush and green with long daylight hours from the midnight sun. June has some of the longest days, you might think it's 10PM & It's 2AM! But that Makes it easier to photograph scenery and outdoor adventures. If you want to stay up all night. In winter, snowy mountains, icy landscapes, wear ice cleats, bring extra socks, wear warm layers, wool, or breathable layers, cotton in one of the worst layers you can wear when hiking, or in cold climates. On cold nights you might be able to see the northern lights.

If you don't know the area, Book with a guide who's from Alaska or an agency.

2. Use Natural Landscapes as Your Background

Alaska is full of dramatic scenery such as mountains, rivers, glaciers, and wilderness areas. These natural elements can make your photos look more adventurous and visually striking,

If you don't know the area, Book with a guide who's from Alaska or an agency.

3. Plan Enough Time for Travel and Photos

Difference between Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter can be crazy. Distances between towns and attractions in Alaska can take long, minutes & hours, traffic or weather can affect the time. Because of this, it’s important to plan your trip carefully and focus on a few areas instead of trying to see everything quickly.

If you don't know the area, Book with a guide who's from Alaska or an agency.
